Tarisland: Guide – Merfolk Swamp Dungeon

Here is a guide of techniques and strategies for you to know before entering the Merfolf Swamp dungeon. We will also inform you about the enemies you will fight.

Merfolk Swamp Dungeon

Before entering the Merfolk Swamp dungeon, we will give you some tips and things to remember before playing. On normal difficulty, you must be at least level 27 with an equipment level of 59. But if you’re up for a more challenging game, try completing the elite version with a required level of 34 and an equipment level of 80.

In Merfolk Swamp dungeon, some aquatic organisms with little intelligence began to evolve. This caused the formation of the three Bosses against which you will fight to clear this dungeon.

Fraser (Trendsetter)

The laboratory at Merfolk Reservoir suffered an explosion,
causing the leaking of a large amount of Mutation Potion.
After the incident, aquatic organisms with low intelligence began to evolve, and Fraser claimed to be the best among them.

HIT: 214
Resilience: 107
Combo RES: 107
Accuracy: 356

Fraser Skills (Trendsetter)

Summon Merfolk troops

Fraser uses his shell that summons all his troops, such as Merfolk Warrior, Merfolk Hunter and Merfolk Leader.

Throw

Fraser throws his spear at a random player causing continuous bleeding.

Merfolk assault

Fraser summons a large group of Merfolk Cubs that inflict damage to players within range of him.

Ice prism trap

Fraser throws a ball of water at the target that can engulf it, dealing damage and stunning it for 10 seconds.

Healing potion

Fraser heals himself and restores 15% of maximum HP.

Challenge strategy

Fighting Fraser will be easy as long as you know how to attack and dodge his abilities continuously.

For team support, as a healer, rescue your trapped teammate by dispersing the Ice Prism Trap effect.

When using his Healing Potion skill, attack him consecutively so that he is interrupted and not healed.

Vidu Deep (Kraken)

Benefiting from the mutation potion,
a common octopus mutated into a gigantic monster. With a cunning character and forceful strength, he soon rose above the others in the brutal competition in the Merfolk swamp and became a rival to be reckoned with.

HIT: 214
Resilience: 107
Combo RES: 107
Accuracy: 356

Vidu Deep is the second boss of the Merfolk Swamp dungeon. It is a common octopus that was transformed into a gigantic monster.

Vidu Deep Skills

Jumping stroke

Jumps and inflicts damage to all players and knocks them down.

Shock

Vidu Deep deals damage within a circular range of 0-8 and 8-16 that immobilizes players within range for 4 seconds in a 3 second interval.

Wave of water

Vidu Deep deals damage in the shape of a rectangle in front of him.

Jet

Divide the field into 4 right angles, 90 degree and fan-shaped areas equally. Along these areas, Vidu Deep begins to sprout in a random fan-shaped area that inflicts damage to all players there every second.

Strategy

In this fight, the role of the tank is crucial as he is the one who will bring Vidu Deep to the field without Gush.

You must dodge and stay out of their attack range to avoid taking damage from their abilities, especially Gush because of the poison. And also, be aware of Shock as Vidu Deep will use it consecutively, which can inflict a ton of damage.

Kanros (Darkfin General)

Zelo’s subordinate who carried out orders with dedication. Once an elf, his appearance and personality changed drastically after coming into contact with the Mutation Potion spilled during an explosion in a laboratory.

HIT: 214
Resilience: 107
Combo RES: 107
Accuracy: 356

Kanros is the last boss of Merfolk Swamp. He was once an elf who underwent great changes after the mutation potion incident.

Kanros Skills

Flood

The field will be flooded with water. Due to the Flood, Kanros gets a buff that makes Tsunami deal more damage.

Sweep

Kanros inflicts damage from the front.

Tsunami

Kairos inflicts substantial damage to all players.

Water bubble

Kanros summons 2 water bubbles at a random location. If he touches those water bubbles, he will get a damage bonus.

Summon personal guard

Kanros summons two Personal Guards who destroy the Ice Pillars. If those ice pillars are destroyed, the water level will rise.

Summon minions

Kanros summons minions to help in the battle.

Challenge strategy

While fighting Kanros, you must perform multiple tasks between attacking him and protecting the ice pillars. If it is destroyed, it will only increase the water level, which favors Kanros because of the damage bonus it gives him. If not, you can use the ice crystals that appear on the field to repair the ice pillar and stop the water flow.

If Kanros uses Water Bubble, touch them first before he does, as it will only give you a damage bonus and you don’t want that to happen.
